I suffered a massive stroke July 26, 2017. I suffered depression and anger, my Rehab Without Walls therapists encouraged me to do different things, like my speech therapist got me to write a blog about my experience. It might help to know your not alone. Keep working at it. If you have questions I would be happy to answer, just email me.

Dear Tom.
I was watching KLRU today and learned of your stroke. I am a huge fan and wanted to tell you I’m with you 100%!
Being confined at this time is a blessing in disguise. COVID sucks.
I’ll be checking in every day to see how well you’re improving!!
You’ve got this!
With Love and a giant burst of wellness vibes coming your way!

Mr. Spencer,
I know I speak for many, many more gardeners sending you love and best wishes for your road to recovery! If everyone was as lovely as you are, the world would be so much better off.

So glad to hear of the improvements. This time of social distancing must be hard for both of you. Sorry to say chocolate won't fix it, but what can it hurt, right? Keep on working, Tom. We miss you on Central Texas Gardening, but the rest of the folks are going a good job (especially Augie). It's Springtime in the Rockies and things are greening up. Of course, there is snow this weekend, but like I said, it's Springtime in the Rockies. Keep up the good work! It will pay off!

Thanks Diane for keeping us updated. He has a community at St John's that remember him weekly. One small step Tom will get you to the end of this difficult path.

Hi Tom, I regularly think of you and hope you're doing well. Diana's great update today confirms it. I've long held that you will make a full recover. Somehow. Knowing you? By grit and determination alone! I have great confidence in you. As for your many friends and acquaintances, most of us, I suspect, have been doing our best to keep working and steer clear of the coronavirus -- and that's about it. I am, admittedly, focused in my own reality, caring for my dad, who turned 91 last week, and content editing for a steady stream of clients, per usual. A blessed Holy Week and happy Easter, Tom -- I'm rooting for you and relishing this good news!
