Visited Tom on Friday, but for only for a short time. He did speak with Diana and is trying so hard. He agreed to a photo.

When I visited Tom this afternoon he lifted his right foot about 12 inches and moved his right wrist. He was very proud of his accomplishment (he did it twice) and I was very excited to see his progress. With the help of the nurse we re-positioned him so he was off his back and laying on his left side. He needs encouragement to rotate positions in the bed. He asked to call Diana and he talked with her on the phone for a few minutes. His speech continues to improve every day.

Next time I visit Tom I will bring, Watson, my dog! She enjoys visiting patients.

There was a cat in the hallway the first time I visited. Maybe it’s a regular visitor?
