I just want to thank all my family and friends for the outpouring of love and support that Marisa,Nick, Joe and I have felt for the last few months and days. This has been one of the hardest things to go through but knowing we have such support has been wonderful. Also want to thank all of you for following this site and for all the support. This will be the finally post. Thank you all

Love Lisa

I just want to share what my niece Eleni wrote for Tom’ eulogy.

My Niece Eleni wrote this beautiful eulogy and spoke so eloquently and with unending love

“Uncle Tom,

Growing up I was lucky enough to live directly across the street from Tom, I’m his oldest niece and god daughter. Tom was a one of a kind guy, a man of few words, who loved his family more than anything in this world. His love and devotion to my aunt Lisa was always something I watched and admired about him, they were truly soulmates and even in his last days I watched him wrap his arms around her and embrace her just like he used to when I was a child and we had finished our Friday night pizza night.

Tom was an amazingly patient and loving father to Marisa, Nicholas, and Joe. I remember the day Marisa was born and how excited he was to introduce my sisters and I to our new cousin, and then again when Nick was born. He stepped right up as Dad for Joe and as a father figure to Emily and Olivia when we tragically lost Mark and Beverly. Tom was and is everything anyone could want in father. I know he’s watching all three of you ( Marisa Nicolas and Joe) with such pride as you’ve all such shown so much strength over the last few months.

Tom was a family man always making time for his brothers and sister Janice and all of his nieces and nephews. From a young age he always had us gather up New Hampshire on lake Ossipee, those are some of the best memories of my childhood and now adulthood as I had a chance to watch my own children and Tom play and have fun on the beach he loved so much.

Tom touched all of our lives, in so many wAys. I could go on and on with memories of my childhood with Uncle Tom and Auntie Lisa, they’re a safe place for me, they feel like home. I will see my uncle everytime I look at my father and In his son Nicks eyes and smile. I’ll remeber his kindness and love everytime I see Marisa. I’ll see his strength and selflessness everytime I look at Joe and lastly I’ll think of him everytime I hear the Paul Simon song “ you can call me al”, after all that’s where he got Lisa’s nickname “Betty”.

Tom was a truly selfless man, an amazing husband father brother  son and friend and of course as he said to me last week, quoting a memory he and I shared up New Hampshire as he was on the roof “uncle Tom, you’re the strongest man I know”. Tom is at peace now in heaven with the best of them his father William and his mother Connie, Mark and Beverly, and lastly our cousin Nicole.

I’ll leave you all with a quote I think fits him and the relationship he had with all of us here perfectly.”

“If ever there is tomorrow

when we’re not together…

there is something you must always remember.

You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.

But the most important thing is,

even if we’re apart…

I’ll always be with you.”
