Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. Recently Dad was diagnosed with anal cancer, just one month before his 89th birthday.  The cancer appears to have been identified early, and we believe he has a good chance of whipping it. He has begun the preliminary steps for receiving chemotherapy and radiation. A PICC line will be placed on him December 14th, and radiation treatments will begin December 17th and will continue Monday through Friday until he has completed 28 treatments. The chemotherapy sessions will occur at the beginning of the 28 day radiation series, then again at the end of the radiation treatments. Please pray that the treatments are effective with minimal side-effects.
