Definitely get the Lidocaine cream to numb the port site, and take all pre-meds religiously. I will be watching for updates and praying for you all. Continue to make your needs known!

There is an anesthetic cream (prescription) Tom can use on his port prior to starting a chemo treatment. Ju didn’t find out about it until a couple of months before she had to quit treatment. She learned a lot from her cancer patient support group that the doctor/nurses never mentioned.
If they give him a prescription for anti-nausea medication for after chemo, take it ! Don’t wait for symptoms.
