Tom, Keely, and Connor: I worked with your Dad in Washington, DC.  Others, who worked with him at later points in his life, have described the same man I knew back then - a man of integrity, generosity, and with a zest for life.  Four of us staffers made a memorable road trip from DC in Tom's (small!) Toyota Celica to be groomsmen at a wedding in Alabama because our boss didn't want to risk Tom piloting us there.  I would have taken the risk!  Your parents were wonderful hosts to me in your home, during a trip to Oregon in the 1980s, where I saw their evident pride in each of you.  I'm so sad for you and all Tom's friends and family who will miss him so much.  Glory to God for his life.
