Sarah and Caitlin, I loved my uncle dearly. He was known for entertaining the kids during the holidays. I remember him blowing balloons for us, attending our cabin during the 4th of July, and lighting fireworks with my dad. He even stuffed olives in his nose for a picture again, just to entertain us kids.

Dear Sarah and Caitlin, your honorable words of your dad will surely make him smile in heaven, as there is no greater honor than to be so cherished by your children. You gave him your perfect love and no one could ask for more. Your dad was so fun and could always bring a smile with his laughter. Bless you girls for you are the best!

Your words are just perfect. They brought all of the memories of his smile and love back to my heart. So thankful that you were all able to be together in his last moments and even though I wish there had been more time with him, I’m truly grateful that he is at peace now. He was an incredible man and will be missed by all of us. Love you Pops!!

Absolutly the hardest feelings, thoughts and memories to write. Its your life and that life was filled full of glorious memories and love. Im sorry for this pain but your dad is in a better place and he was the best neighborhood dad I could ask for. ♡♡♡

Caitlin and Sarah, this is perhaps the loveliest obituary for a father I've ever read. This line brought tears to my eyes: "When doubt, anxiety or feelings of failure crept in, he wrapped us in reassuring words, a warm hug and unconditional love. In times of joy, accomplishment or new opportunities, he beamed with pride and provided endless encouragement. And quite incredibly, his fatherly love and adoration wasn’t limited by blood. He was always “Pops” to those who we’d chosen to be our closest friends." There is not a father in the world who wouldn't consider his life a success to have daughters write such loving words. My deepest sympathy to you both - and all those who loved Tom.
