Romans 8:28 is a favorite verse that kept us going in times of trials. I’ve found you never get back to what we thought was normal, you just have a new normal and your normal will change with each change in the dynamics of your home, kids busier, you trying to keep up with them, then you add new activities, etc. Change is normal. May God bless and keep your family and heals every need for Caleb and your family. Prayers for you to keep the faith and be the witness that you are called to be. You seem to be doing a wonderful job through it all.

Thank you! I needed to hear this reminder of who’s in charge and who’s not! No matter what we face, it’s good to know He sees the big picture all the way to the finish - and He has our best interest for the long run at heart! What are we scrambling around to control? Ha! Thanks for your honest words and the encouraging verses too!

So true- a 'new' normal is often anything but what we have envisioned for ourselves. And yet, through it all, you (and your family) continue to find new levels of faith and trust (in God) to sustain and encourage yourselves in your 'current normal', while sorting through all that has been and what's to come. So many will surely benefit from your words (and example). Our prayer remains that God continue to provide for and guide you, and for Caleb's ultimate healing. May His grace and constant presence be yours as the year unfolds.
