Vision impairment does not discourage me. For one thing, we read of "outstanding patient" stories on the wall of the cafeteria hallway, where vision recovery took time but happened (right across from the vision therapy department). For another, God prepared us with Mom's sister Gladys, as sharp a person as I ever knew. It sounds like he's getting his intellect back. We can deal with whatever Caleb needs. What's important is that we have him at all.

Praise God! We are so thankful you are being blessed more often with the sweet sounds of Caleb’s voice. The hills and valleys are so taxing, but your faith, your body and mind, your huge circle of love and Our God overcome!

Truly an amazing story of God at work, not only for a young man who has a witness that will go on for generations. But also for an earthly father who has stayed by his son day and night – just as our heavenly father stays with us in sunshine and darkness! ❤️🙏🤗

So good to read of Caleb's steps of progress. The vision problem is discouraging, but God is still on the throne! My husband and I prayed Jeremiah 29:11 on our way to the hospital the night we learned of our son's accident. May that verse also be an encouragement to all of you!
