Dear Paul--Please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family over the loss of your mother. Barb told me about her recent passing. I was fortunate to meet your mother at the UofL School of Nursing Honors for Nursing celebration. She was so proud of you and your accomplishments. I know how difficult it is to lose one's mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
With Deepest Sympathy, Becky Christian

Dear Paul and family , I am so sorry to hear this but trust she is in God’s hands . She has been through so much in the last months it sounds like . She was a wonderful woman and I have fond memories of hanging out at your house and talking with her way back when . I will keep her and you in my prayers .

I prayer sent to me upon the death of my son. I thought it was so nice to read.

To Tina's family:

I give you this one thought to keep --
I am with you still -- I do not sleep.
I am a thousand wields that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awake in the morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone --
I am with you still--in each new dawn.

I wish I was there in KY to celebrate Tins's life but will be doing so from Texas. Love and Peace to all. Susie Oesterritter Schneider

Tina was such an incredible person. No matter how busy or crazy the day was in the OR, I could always count on Tina to turn the corner of a hallway and instantly brighten my day with a smile, a hug, an elbow jab (during Covid), a quick story or a surprise piece of candy at my desk. During staff shortages, she was always there, willing to help in any way she could. She had such a giving heart. I looked up to her not only as a wonderful nurse, but as an awesome friend. I will do my best to honor her by living out all of the characteristics she encompassed. By being kind to everyone I meet, by enjoying a good laugh no matter how bad a day might seem, by being positive, by being selfless, by taking an interest in others and doing my best to uplift those around me. I’m so glad I was able to know her and will never forget the impact she made. Thinking of you all during this difficult time ❤️

Thank you for this update. Yes it was so fitting for her to go be with Lord on Valentines Day. She was one of the most special people I have ever known and feel so honored to call her friend.

I'm stunned but relieved that Tina's suffering was briefer than anticipated. I can only believe that she is laughing and talking up a storm with those who have gone before her. I'm grateful that we had that wonderful lunch together before her illness. Love to you all. God bless.

Paul, this is such bittersweet news. We never want to lose some we love but also want their suffering to end. No one can prepare for the loss of someone so dear to them. I wish for you and your family peace that only God's love can provide. May He hold you and your family in his loving arms and ease your pain and suffering.

Thanks Paul for the update. Tina was a spitfire, wonderful, loving, beautiful, friendly and Godly lady. She never met a stranger. I am so grateful to crossed paths with her. We worked together at Suburban in the ER and then again in the OR. Praying for you and your family during this difficult time.
