Nancy: what tragic news about Tim’s death. So sad and so unfair. Know of my love for you and any support I can provide. We had a great time at POJ where both of you were true gifts. Blessings and much love. Carson

Nancy
Bridget and I hold you in our thoughts as you go through this lonely time. We love you and knew that you and Tim were a package that came together. I knew Tim was special from that first interview we had for the associate presbyter position. I was telling Bridget on Sunday evening that if Tim and I had listed our hobbies and likes we probably would never have become friends. The call to the church and educational ministry gave us a common bond. We were never at a loss for words. I cherish all the times I saw him at annual event, Montreat, and other places. Meeting with Tim and the other educators in the POJ and Shenandoah Presbytery as we worked on Carol Schneider's screen porch will be some of the best memories in my work in the church. Bridget and I loved being with you and Tim. Our visit to Long Island to see the US Open was truly highlighted by the time we got to spend with the two of you. Please know we are willing to listen, to open our home, or do whatever we can to assist you in this time of loss. Bruce Harvey

The memorial garden at Shandon Presbyterian is open and all are invited to spend time there - in tribute to Tim, to meditate and pray, to bring flowers, just to be.

Tim & Nancy,
May God bring you peace and rest at this time. We know the care that Hospice offers. We will pray for both of you as you go through this time. Bridget and I cherish the friendship we have with both of you even though it has been from afar. We love both of you.

Grace and peace to you from our God and Savior! How many times have I skimmed over that greeting from St. Paul as I read his letters? What a wonderful blessing it is when I stop and ponder the grace and peace that comes from the Father through the Son and the Spirit. So those words are both a greeting and prayer for you that I send.

The catechism teaches that our chief aim is to glorify God and enjoy Him. But, I wonder if we first have to know Him before we can glorify or enjoy Him? To know that He is Love. To know that He cares for us beyond all comprehension. To know that He is Good, even when evil is all around us. To know that "precious in God's site is the death of His saints." To know that "we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him." To know that "that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Be strong in the faith! As you bore witness to the Gospel in health, so bare witness in sickness! Glorify God in all that you do and say. May the Holy Spirit embrace you with all comfort and with a peace that surpasses all understanding.

I love you both dearly, and on the many occasions that I have seen you, coming down the hall, or at a distance, or even in a picture, it would lighten and brighten my heart.

Again, grace and peace to you.

In Christ's service,
Robert

Tim, Bob has kept me informed of the journey you and Nancy have been on. My daughter, Nelly, still recalls the wonderful week she and Jennifer spent with you following her high school graduation. I revisit my memories of times with the Duncan cousins...they were few so they stand out!! How grateful I am to be part of the Duncan clan and to be numbered among your cousins.

With love and memories, Bonnie (Larson) Ingraham

Such a bitter pill! And so much left unsaid to you, Tim. I have been blessed to have received your ministry through these many years. Thank you for witnessing our grand babes’ baptism in March - your presence was very special. May these next days for you and Nancy be filled with sunshine and joy.

Uncle Tim and Aunt Nancy,
My heart is very sad at this news. I have been rehearsing memories in my mind and cherishing each one. My favorite is probably being at your wedding. I will miss you very much Uncle Tim, but I am so grateful to know you will be with your savior no longer in pain or discomfort. Aunt Nancy, I am glad you will continue to be a special part of our lives. We are praying for you both and Love you both.

Tim and Nancy,
Judy Cannon gave me your Caringbridge information. I am so sorry I am just now getting on to find this news we have all prayed would not come. Please, please know I cherish every moment over these many years that we have had together. You individually and together are some of the best gifts many of us and I can name. Know that your friendship and collegiality have meant so much over a lot of years. Please know I will always cherish your coming back to Trinity and especially Shandon. I meant what I said in the charge to you - you are the wise farmer - like our God - who sees the fledgling nest in the midst of the weeds at the corner of the field and protects them even at great cost.

Thank you for seeing me and being such a friend and brother and sister in Christ.

Always,
Jeri

Dear Tim,

This news leaves us all numb.  It pains us to know the struggle you have gone through, and we won't even begin to write about the unfairness of it all, or there may be some expletives involved.

Tim, you have made such a difference in our lives and so many other lives.  Your kindness, authenticity, intelligence, humor, and generosity have blessed us all.

Your writing is thoughtful and deep.  Your artwork is skillful and soulful.  You always seek to learn and grow, travel and explore.  We love the license plate on your motorcycle. You even helped us pack when we moved!!  Wow.

You are a talented person and a spiritual person, leading by your actions. You show up for people. You have changed so many lives with your kind and loving heart. You have informed us through this huge health challenge that you have faced with grace and strength.

Knowing you and Nancy has affected us all.  Your loving, supportive relationship is a model for us. You have made us think, and laugh, and strive to be as involved in the world as you....doing things that matter.  Also, you have shown us how to step back, and care for ourselves as well.

We want you to know that we are with you in every step of your journey.  We send our deepest love and gratitude for all you have given us and continue to share with the world, through your example.

You are in our hearts and we send blessings and love to you.

Kate, Adam and Elizabeth
