Tim’s Story

Site created on November 28, 2019

On January 11, 2019 Tim had carpel tunnel surgery and also had a lump removed from his arm.  After a biopsy, it was determined that he had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  He went through chemotherapy from February 7-May 23.  His labs all came back clear and he was in remission.

Then November 23 he went into urgent care for flu-like symptoms.  He was admitted to Olathe Medical Center that night because his white blood cell count was very high (150,000).  He was transferred to KU Med's leukemia clinic on Monday for more testing.  On Tuesday he was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia).  He was started on chemotherapy that night after an echocardiogram determined that his heart was strong enough for treatment.

Journal entry by Sheri Greene

The funeral service and lunch today were both so nice.  I really think my Dad would have enjoyed it.  It was good to see so many friends and family together.  I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who helped make today so special.  There were a lot of people who couldn't be there today, so I wanted to share pictures.  This will be my last post here, so thank you again for all of your support.
