Dear friends and family of Tim Coogan.


Some of you have already met me through this site, but for anyone new: my name is Shannon, cousin of Tim Coogan, who is the son of Pat and Patty Coogan. First: to all who have already sent prayers and messages of encouragement via this site to Tim, Franca, Pat, Patty and the Coogan Family, THANK YOU!  Please keep them coming as indeed they are working. Here is the backstory, and below is the very welcome update: 


Tim has been in the hospital fighting a serious infection since August 19. This is an extension of a long  battle Tim has been waging, and after an epic fight, and with the help of many, MANY prayers, Tim has so far prevailed. The infection is in retreat, but there is work to be done to keep it at bay. Further, in addition to rehab, there are some other serious health issues which may require more than one spinal surgery to resolve. The goal has been to get Tim stable enough to start rehab., and then tackle these latter challenges.



UPDATE: Tim is stabilizing more and more each day, and is ready for rehab! Great news - he has also been approved to move to his facility of choice in Seattle, which is purported to have the best possible resources for meeting Tim's needs. Apple Cup: here he comes! (Hopefully!)
