Insurance would not approve PET scan because Tim did not have multiple myeloma and a tumor in his bone or plasmacytoma. When we met with Dr. Kaufman this afternoon he said “ congratulations, Tim is in complete remission!!!! Go celebrate. Then we talked about going forward. He will start back taking a chemo pill (Revlimid) in Jan. Every 3 weeks and 1 week off for at least 2-3 years. Bone marrow biopsies every year. Doctor reminded us of chance Tim could get another cancer such as leukemia because of taking Revlimid. We go back to Emory in March for blood work and for Tim to start getting his childhood immunizations again . We start back with Gainesville oncologist in Jan.
But today we thank God for His grace His mercy His love. We celebrate that there is no cancer today. Thank you all for your ongoing prayers love and support. May God shine His face upon you each. Merry Christmas
