Journal entry by Tiffany Whisenand —
Praise GOD!!! On February 25th Tiffany met with her oncologist for a post op visit and to discuss the next steps in this journey. He is happy with the progress of her recovery from surgery, he thinks in two or three more weeks she will be feeling very good. Dr. Pikaart feels like Tiffany’s prognosis is excellent, chemo and radiation are not necessary. The margins and lymph nodes that he took during surgery came back clear of cancer. The pathologist staged the cancer as stage II due to the fact that it is rare and how and where the tumor was growing. It is suggested for stage II uterine sarcoma to do anti-hormone therapy and observations. Tiffany will have to have an exam with her oncologist every 3 months for two years and scans every 6 months for five years. She will be starting the anti-hormone therapy soon. Dr. Pikaart will be taking Tiffany’s case to the tumor broad, which is comprised of himself, and other cancer specialist to review and examine her case. He does not believe that this will change the trajectory of her treatment plan.
Thank you for all of the love and support, Jason and Tiffany are beyond grateful for all the prayers that they have received and will be grateful for the continued future prayers.
