Thomas Patrick’s Story

Site created on September 10, 2020

As most of you know, Dad was diagnosed with Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer in December of 2018.  At the time, the outlook was bleak - even with chemotherapy, the average survival rate was 8-11 months.  As we reminded each other and the doctors, Dad has never been "average" and was not planning to start.  That initial visit was 21 months ago.

In the last 21 months, we've have a few downs, but a lot of ups.  We have spent two glorious summers at the lake, celebrated numerous holidays together with all 10 grandchildren, Mom and Dad spent a relaxing winter in Florida together, and most importantly, we have all been warmed, strengthened and humbled by all of the calls, emails, letters, visits and the general outpouring of love and support from you all.

The last month has thrown a couple of curve balls our way, but we continue to soldier on.   We decided that a CaringBridge website would be a great way to keep all of you updated in one place. We can't begin to tell you how much we all appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

With love,
Meghan, Kelly, Tommy and Deb
