Dear Tom. You may not see this post and this comment will sound odd but nonetheless will go forward. I was looking at the NSU website following a cousin on the baseball team and saw a Brandon Kusler as a coach. I was curious if he might be related to you so did some google searches and ran across the caringbridge site for you. My husband Jeff and I were your music students in Bristol SD in the early 70’s, probably your first years of teaching music. We saw you at a reunion some years ago but it still has been a long time. We are so glad to hear of your successful transplant and we hope things are continuing to improve. I don’t know if you will ever see this post but thought it was worth a try. I also read about your successful career in Bemidji on your retirement info. Our son Eric and our daughter-in-law are both alumni of BSU and Eric played football for BDU from 1993-1997. We have fond memories of your time as our teacher. Jeff and I wish you a healthy and happy life in recovery. Blessings. Mary Skaare.

Still thinking of you both and holding you in prayer. We are resilient! (Even when we don’t want to be). Enjoy each day, rest when you need to, make music, read good books, laugh and love.
