Thank you for sharing Rose...I am holding JP in prayers, imagining him breathing clearly and freely, feeling spaciousness and joy in his body, sending so much love to JP and his family and support and angels.... and have an inspiration to share: called Gekko Boy
modern myth
worth retelling
even believing in
twas told even
as a babe the gekkoes
took a liking to him,
surrounded him,
slept with him,
comforted him
in his crib
followed him when he
crawled, walked
and rode his shoulder
when he ran
family and friends
enjoyed watching
this unusual relationship
then one day
while chasing the ball
he ran into the road
and the car could not
avoid him, swiped him,
left him on the ground
family wept with
him in the hospital
the news from the
doctor to remove
the leg below
the knee,
and so it
happened
young boy lay
at home in his bed
and the gekkoes
came, and more came
and more came
filling his room,
and as he rested
and recovered
for days, weeks,
a miracle began
to happen,
his leg began to
change, millimeter
by millimeter,
moment by moment,
breath by breath,
his limb became
anew, and then
he did come
to run and play
again
as all children
rightfully should,
and he became
known
as gekko boy
Thank you so much for this beautiful update. I am holding JP in my prayers and think of him often. JP your beauty has always been wonder and nourishment. So much love to you dear man. I am grateful for all the friends and family and hospital staff who are there loving you and caring for you in person. You have legions sending love and support every day and night. Xxoo
I was one of a small group who attended JP's first harmonica retreat in Kauai. (And several thereafter) What a wonderful experience it was! It remains one of the highlights of my life....wishing JP all the best and sending positive thoughts and prayers his way💟
I am with you JP in my thoughts and prayers...
Thank you Rose for your sharing...It warms my heart and I am so glad there is so much love around JP.
Makes it a tiny bit less painful to be so far away...With big heart and love for you dear one, JP!
Thank you Rose for your illuminating journal entry. I so appreciate your first hand glimpses into JP's recovery. And I celebrate hm moving to a normal room, out of ICU, which mean he has that wonderful window and an opportunity for deeper rest. It also marks significant progress. Thank you for your visits and care, Rose, and thanks to the family and community that steadfastly, patiently send your love and positive intentions. Angels indeed! Note to self: Send flowers!
