CAMRYN UPDATE 7/6
———————————
Camryn has been home for a week and a half and is doing so good! She is getting stronger each day and is almost regained most of her strength back. She has been cleared to go up and down steps with no restrictions. She has PT twice per week and OT once per week which is so crucial to her progress. She still fatigues easily and needs sitting breaks if we walk any kind of distance. We have a wheelchair that we use in these circumstances and that has been helpful. She still gets nerve pain (we call it zappies) in her legs, but she does a great job managing it. We follow up with neuromuscular, ophthalmology, and rehab in the next few weeks.
Brad Case and I are still blown away by her recovery. We are so grateful and humbled by this whole thing. Your prayers have been heard and we truly believe that has played a huge role in her recovery. Her care from Nationwide Children’s has been elite and we could not have asked for more.
