It's the Monday after Thanksgiving, our first big holiday without my dad.  It was definitely not the same without his early morning cooking and famous stuffing, but we made it different enough than year's past so we could somehow make it through another "first" without him.

Last week we delivered the memorial pieces to the Avera Cancer Center.  As described in the post from last July, these images are ones that my dad had created last year while he was sick.  Jeff and I printed them on canvas and a friend custom framed them so they have a floating metal frame around each of them.  They will hang in Avera's cancer patient waiting room together with a plaque about Terry written by Jess, his favorite nurse. Please see the attached picture of the final product, we are very grateful for them.

As we enter a new holiday season I find tears sneaking out a little more frequently and am remembering year's past a little more fondly.  We have lost so many lovely people in just a few short years that it makes me grateful for each and every single moment together.
