Yesterday was the last day of radiation and chemo combo.  As I sit here and write this it is very weird not to be cracking my whip and making my poor mom get out of bed whether she wanted to or not.  The last couple of weeks have been a struggle because she has been so tired.  She is still asleep as I write this at 10am and has been asleep since 8pm last night.  At some point I am going to have to wake her because a girl's gotta eat but I am hoping she wakes on her own.

She has been confused over the last week saying some pretty off the wall things and not remembering things that happened just a few hours before.  We had a CT scan last night just to check there was no stroke.  The radiation oncologist attributes it to the fatigue from radiation but she has had the fatigue since before she was diagnosed and was still pretty clear.  The neuro oncologist ordered the CT because it is a new symptom.  We're hoping that it is just inflammation brought on by the radiation but will update when we get the results.

We were given the mask (below is picture of Emma in it) to bring home and a certificate of completion with a thank you card.  We're just handed this paperwork and now have to put on our waiting hats again.  3 weeks until she can have the MRI to see if all of this crap they've been doing to her poor body has done anything to the alien that lives in her head.

Please send up your positive thoughts and prayers that the alien has shrunk and that she gets some of her energy back.
