Terri had her follow up MRI this past Monday and we met with the doctors to discuss the findings. First, we have good and bad news to share. There was a small growth adjacent to the original tumor that was detected. This is a small spot compared to the original and the best news of all is that it is something that can be removed with a revision surgery. That is also the bad news, she will have to go in for another surgery before Christmas. The doctors are able to use the same incision and it will be a quick surgery. She will most likely have a one night stay in ICU and then back home to recover during the holidays. We are so thankful that this is treated with surgery. Some growths that come back are not capable of being removed through surgery. We are also thankful that the area of the original tumor remains clear 3 months after surgery. She will undergo the surgery, have a few weeks for recovery, and then a cyber knife procedure will be done to clean up the area. There are so many positive things through this process that outweigh the bad. One of the positive things we have realized is the love and faithfulness of our family, friends, and God through all of this. Continue to pray for her healing and for God to use the new surgery and treatments to get her back to her old self. Thank you all so much for all you are doing, Terri is blessed to have all of you.
