Terri had her follow up MRI this past Monday and we met with the doctors to discuss the findings. First, we have good and bad news to share. There was a small growth adjacent to the original tumor that was detected. This is a small spot compared to the original and the best news of all is that it is something that can be removed with a revision surgery. That is also the bad news, she will have to go in for another surgery before Christmas. The doctors are able to use the same incision and it will be a quick surgery. She will most likely have a one night stay in ICU and then back home to recover during the holidays. We are so thankful that this is treated with surgery. Some growths that come back are not capable of being removed through surgery. We are also thankful that the area of the original tumor remains clear 3 months after surgery. She will undergo the surgery, have a few weeks for recovery, and then a cyber knife procedure will be done to clean up the area. There are so many positive things through this process that outweigh the bad. One of the positive things we have realized is the love and faithfulness of our family, friends, and God through all of this. Continue to pray for her healing and for God to use the new surgery and treatments to get her back to her old self. Thank you all so much for all you are doing, Terri is blessed to have all of you.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and we wanted to express how thankful we are for all of you during this time. Terri is rest mode until she has her MRI on December 6th. She has completed all the radiation and chemo treatments and we are praying for her body to continue to heal and for the treatments to be successful. She will start chemo on December 8th again, but for just 5 days, then three weeks later, start another round of chemo. This will be her routine for the next year. There will be regular MRIs as she goes through this time. I am so proud of how she has maintained a positive attitude and all the prayers, support, and cards from all her family and friends have helped fuel that attitude. Thank you all again. We are so thankful for what God has done and is doing with Terri. We have so much to be thankful for, Happy Thanksgiving.

Terri is at week 3 of radiation and chemo. She is so strong and has been so blessed by all of you and your prayers. There is no doubt you all are making a difference in her life. She is having more good days than bad and staying busy when able. She is having minimal side effects from the radiation and chemo so far. We are praying that God is using the radiation to destroy any remaining cells and that the chemo will keep her body clear of any cells that might have remained and entered her blood stream. We are seeing so many positive things so far, God has been so good. The Bible says He is our Good Shepherd and that He tends to her needs, protects her, and guides her. She is one of His sheep and He loves His flock. Our Shepherd takes us through valleys and mountain peaks and He is present through all of this. Thank you Lord for all you have provided, including our dear friends and family. All of our friends mean so much to us, continue to pray for God's healing and strength for Terri.
