Journal entry by Terri Moss

In December 2006, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in my right breast. I had a lumpectomy in January 2007 followed by chemotherapy and radiation over the next 7 months. Fast forward 14.5 years... On September 9th, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in my left breast. I will be having a double mastectomy on October 4th. We won't know until after surgery if I will need chemotherapy or radiation again. I feel that the journey will be even rougher than the diagnosis, at least that's the case this time. I know my enemy and what I'm up against. I know the physical and mental toll it will take on me. I understand the toll it will take on my family and friends. I know what to expect financially and that is terrifying! One day at a time, that's how I will approach this chapter of my story. And, my story is not over, it has more chapters! Thanks to everyone for theirsupport and positive vibes. It means the world to me and my family!
