I was a student teacher at her school and appreciated her collegiality and mentorship. She gave me a sincere compliment that helped build my confidence just starting out. I wish her family and friends so much comfort and care as they celebrate her life.

As you already know, your mom was a beautiful person, someone I am glad my children were able to learn from at St. Matthew's. She lived, taught and shared her faith and love with all who knew her. God bless you all during this sad time.

Just heard about your mom’s passing and I can’t tell you how sad and how very sorry I am! We lived down the street from each other in early grade school years and I always enjoyed going to her house and hanging out! Had a lot of fun times together. We were related through Julia Lagerbloom ! I’ll keep you in my prayers!

Ms. Kidder went above and beyond to pay special attention to each of her students. She did more than just accept each person's unique abilities, talents and interests; she embraced them. Her encouragement for each student to fulfill their potential (in many cases, the potential that students did not yet see in themselves) was uplifting, and having her guidance at a young age informed our next steps in life.

We are infinitely blessed to have had her unwavering support which went far beyond the simple duties of a teacher. She was committed to enriching "the whole person," fiercely devoted to her students and fellow teachers. I personally remember the heartache I felt after graduating 8th grade, thinking "I'll never have a teacher like Ms. Kidder." I was right; her leadership and loving mentorship were simply unmatched.

Whether it was empowering students to challenge themselves both in and out of the classroom, attending basketball and volleyball games, giving unsure students the confidence they needed to get on stage and perform in front of an audience for the school play, or leading the choir in countless school masses, Ms. Kidder celebrated those around her with so much love and enthusiasm each and every day. Now we celebrate Teresa Kidder.

What a remarkable example she was. Thank you for sharing her story with us amid your own grieving; a true sign that her faith will live on in her family and friends. My prayers are with you.

With love,
