This is our last post, as Mom lost her battle with lung cancer on December 25, 2020- Christmas Day.  She was never left alone at the hospice center and was surrounded by love until she passed. We were all there to say goodbye to her one last time. 

As we followed her out of the center in a procession, they played her favorite Christmas song of all time (at our request)- Sarajevo (Carol of the Bells) by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  Never will I be able to hear that song again and not cry, thinking of my mom and her brave fight all the way to the very end- being carried out to such amazingly powerful music with her family behind her.  

We have already been missing her since she was in hospice, but now she is truly gone from this world, and our hearts are aching. She is a Christmas Angel that will forever be looking over us. We love you so much, Mom, and I hope you know the impact you’ve made on so many.
