Terrence Michael McQuade passed peacefully into Gods loving arms at 11:11pm on November 23rd, 2020, surrounded by his loving wife and his four children who served as his home hospice team for the 3 weeks prior to his passing.  Terrence is survived by the love of his life of 47 years, closest friend, loving companion, and true compass in their enduring loving family, Patricia Cullen McQuade.  He was the loving and cherished father of Nicholas and Brenda (Black) McQuade, Daniel McQuade, Michael and Lyndsey (Gjere) McQuade, and Brynn (McQuade) and Greg Strehlow.

Terry was the devoted Papa/Grandpa to his 8 amazing grandchildren: Sadie, Thomas, Deklan, Kiera, Quade, Sloan, Madelyn, and Calvin.  Terry was also survived by his dear sisters Sharon (Mark) Churchin and Kerry Welch.  Terry was preceded in death by his mother Rita M. Welch and his father Thomas B. McQuade.  He was survived by many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and countless wonderful friends he loved so dearly.

Born in Astoria, New York, he spent early years in Queens, NY, and graduated from Bishop Reilly High School.  He was offered a full basketball scholarship to Marquette University in Milwaukee where he played for Al McGuire.  As a member of the 1970 NIT championship team, Terry was inducted into the Marquette Athletic Hall of Fame several years later, once again surrounded by his proud wife and children.   Following his own athletic success, Terry enjoyed years coaching his children in basketball, soccer, and baseball.

Freshman year at Marquette University he met his beautiful wife and soul mate, Patty.  Terry joined AK PSI fraternity and embraced the treasured friendships of many of  the  brothers of AK PSI, fellow Marquette basketball players, and many other Marquette alumni.  After graduation, they married and Terry spent years as Mortgage Banking Director in the Milwaukee and midwest area.  Terry was a member of several service groups including Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, and Toast Masters.  Terry was a man of honesty, integrity, loyalty, character, and love.  He was a man of simple pleasures.   He valued family and dear friends over noteriety, fame or monetary success.

Due to Covid-19, funeral mass will be celebrated and attended by family only on December 11th, 2020.   The family has chosen to plan a celebration of life in summer of 2021 (or as soon as the current public gathering restrictions allow and we can give Terry the celebration of his legacy and beautiful life that he deserves).

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital Children's Cancer Research at  www.stjude.org/donate or donate to Childhood Cancer Research and Development at www.thetruth365.org.

Lovingly written by Terry's 4 children.
