Journal entry by Sandy DeVaan —
On February 21, two months after accident the non weight bearing restrictions were lifted. At PT that morning teddy was able to stand for the first time! But, he didn't stop there. He walked the parallel bars then tried the walker. He has not sat in the wheelchair since. He has been working very hard in getting his strength back. He spends most of his day doing all the exercises his PT has given him. This is very exhausting for him but he is determined. Toes in left foot are slightly able to move upward. We are hopeful with continued walking and therapy they will come around soon.
