Ted’s Story

Site created on December 22, 2020

Our Papi has been an intricate part of this family and we are so blessed to call him husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. With his kind heart, helpful hands and creative spirit, you can see why we love him so much!!!

Two weeks ago he went for a doctors visit for his tonsils and was quickly referred to MD Anderson because of the severity. Tuesday he went to MD Anderson for a full medical examination, his biopsy came back and we found out that he has stage III throat cancer. As you can imagine this has brought a lot of sadness and reflection to our family.

In the coming weeks he will go in for follow-up appointments and start chemo and radiation treatments on January 11th. The doctors ruled out surgery and decided the best treatment option will be radiation and chemo for now.

Ted and the family would really appreciate all your prayers. Please see the prayer list in the journal entry each week for updates and if you feel led to bless him with a donation through Ted‘s GoFundMe which is linked and would go towards parking, medical support, and meals for the family while going through this difficult journey. Here is the quick link as well;

We have complete faith in the Lord for Ted’s healing and support through this process but need your prayers along the way!!! We will update you as we receive additional information.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Jennifer Hall

So sorry for my delay on updates, here is a quick update for this week:

Today Ted started treatment and his first appointment went well (Radiation) and his second one is right now (2 hrs of Chemo treatment). He was a bit nervous going into today but he is relying more and more on the Lord during this time and that has brought him a lot of comfort/peace.

This is going to be a long road for him and we know that we cant do this without the Lord's help so below are some prayer request for him and the family:

-Pray that his nausea is limited; that might happen as soon as this week

-Pray that the medication/chemo does not effect his liver/kidneys

-Pray that if/when he gets downcast, he remembers that the Lord is always with him

-Pray for his worry to disappears and he finds rest in the scriptures and through prayer

-Pray that the Taylor and Mom have an abundant amount of love and patience to care for him durning this time. They are doing a wonderful job!

I will send a longer update on Friday with lots more prayer request but thank you for all the love & support!
