Nghia and I still laugh out loud about one of those last games with the Mets. Thomas took the mound late in the game as closer. He hummed in a perfect strike that made the loud "POP" that a great pitch makes. It was so loud the umpire ducked behind the catcher for protection -- almost hitting the dirt! Great season, great fun, and learned a lot about baseball (and life) from the Thomas, the kids, Tom, and the other coaches.
