Journal entry by Betty Burress —
Hello! It's been awhile. I set this up thinking Hank would keep it up better, but his hands are full with taking care of me, doing all my responsibilities and his and still trying to work full time. I thought about deleting this page, but I really want to share my story, so my good friend, Shannon Kreuger, is going to keep you all updated when I can't. I want to share my story because I believe God has some amazing plans for me to help other people going through cancer. I can't wait to see what he has in store for me. He's been holding my hand and sometimes carrying me through this journey. My Update: I have not had any chemo for 2 weeks now, so I am getting better and stronger every day. I will not ever have chemo again. My body won't tolerate it. Right now I am marathon training to get strong enough for my Whipple surgery on June 22. During this surgery, they will remove my gall bladder, part of my stomach, small intestine, and pancreas. I will go right from surgery to ICU for a few days and will be in the hospital no less than 7-10 days. Shannon will keep you updated through this time. Thank you all for your love and support. It means the world to me. Betty
