Mark and I have been enjoying the past month and a half being home as a family while I continue to heal from my Stem Cell Transplant. It has been an awesome break from needles and scans and appointments! We’ve been spending our time exploring rivers, skipping rocks/searching for agates at the lake, catching frogs, and enjoying meals together.
We also really enjoyed the past few days we spent with Solomon in Rochester. We stayed at a beautiful AirBnb on the Zumbro River. It was an extremely relaxing mid-week trip.
Onto the scan results...
We all hoped for the scan to show a whole-lot-of-nothing, but unfortunately, there was a tiny (0.9cm) lymph node that showed some activity. I had a completely clear scan showing complete remission before my transplant, so it is likely another reoccurrence caught very early. My Hematologist at Mayo sent the scans to my Radiation Oncologist in Duluth because he thinks that doing radiation is the next best move. I meet with him on July 2nd and will have more information then.
Thank you for your continued prayers... if you’re sick of hearing me say: “Unfortunately...” followed by not-so-good news, imagine how weary we are! Yet at all times we will continue to sing of God’s faithfulness. Praise Him that through it all we are held in the palm of His hand.
