Journal entry by Tania Carrillo

I can’t believe it’s been a month since my original surgery.  Due to experiencing necrosis, I had to have a second surgery and lost both my nipples, which I knew was a possibility…. I still have the drains, which are painful and uncomfortable. I feel if they would come out I would really be able to start healing. I have had some really dark and just sad days. Crying became my new normal. But Monday I got the best news, I will NOT need chemo.
I appreciate everyone who has reach out, brought lunch, the continuous dinners just the out pouring of love just makes me realize how much more I have to be grateful for! Once the drains come out and I am finally able to shower I would probably be up for some visitors.
Love you all, thank you
