September 1st, 2021:
ENT and Speech Therapist both pretty much confirmed Tammy won't be getting her voice back at all with this trach. It's been over a week with no improvement, so there's really no possibility of it "getting better with time". It is a possibility after the "Big" surgery at the University to maybe get some voice back but that's with removing this trach and hopefully nothing goes wrong (i.e. need a definite permanent trach). That surgery won't be done until a minimum of a months time from now. So that's the harsh reality Tammy have to live with. And with the trach and having a new oxygen set up shes basically 100% homebound now and can't really run errands or go anywhere at all.
We did have some positive things going on though:
* no longer have heart monitor on
* no longer have pulse monitor
* cleared from occupational therapy
* successfully did a trach cleaning on her own
* set to discharge and go HOME(not rehab) this Friday
