Journal entry by Lisa Jones

Yesterday I spent the day with Tammy.  We had a nice visit. We ate some tuna casserole which we know most people don’t like and talked a lot! Tammy and I have been friends for nearly 40 years. We have enjoyed family cookouts and holidays together and we took a girls trip to Florida with Cindy King. It’s difficult to see my friend sick. She however finds it difficult for all of us.  This girl is sad for those she will leave behind far too soon.  We do not yet know how soon.  She needs some prayer for the red tape surrounding the paperwork that will allow her to begin chemo to get processed and get started! This has been a long process and if it goes much longer, the cancer may have spread and chemo would not be feasible. Pray hard prayer warriors!

I got to see my friend smile and laugh, so that was good.  She also gave me grief and told me to be nice.  The usual for us! We are also both upset that DQ no longer offers Snickers blizzards.  WTF?! We got over it and ordered something just as tasty.  She was unable  to finish hers, but not me.  I told her some of us still have an appetite.  She said I was mean.  Again, the usual for us! She has a lot of foot traffic up and down her street, so we were able to be all judgy and make up stories about those we saw.  Another usual for us!
I love this gal with all my heart and I pray we get to spend many more days doing nothing but hanging out!
