I am finishing up a four day National GEAR UP conference today. (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs). YOU Sydni are one of my GEAR UP students as part of the class of 2020. Our conference theme was "Calling all Superheros". As I watched the students on stage today that participated in the Youth Leadership Summit, all I could think of today was you. That is because Sydni, you are my SUPERHERO! You keep doing your superhero things and get better because I would love to submit you as a student to attend the Youth Leadership Summit next year in San Francisco. I am so proud of you and think of you frequently. I pray that your recovery is swift and you can rejoin our on campus GEAR UP/Longhorn family.
