Sharon’s Story

Site created on October 16, 2018

If I told you my story, you would hear Hope that wouldn't let go and Love that never gave up.  If I should speak, then let it be of God's Grace and Mercy.

And yet I am on another journey...I have bile duct cancer which is rare, and only a miracle could change the prognosis.  Doctors say 1 to 2 years, though I think 3 to 5.  Whatever it is, it is.  Life has been a blessing and will have challenges as it always has.  My goal is to leave this earth with grace and dignity, and of course laughter.

I am using Caring Bridge to invite family and friends to share whatever time God has designated for me.  Rod and I appreciate your prayers and words of hope and encouragement.

Thank you for visiting, God Bless!

Good afternoon I moved away from the home that I had been in for 32 years last month I am very glad and feels that it was a good move we both love our new home it’s still in Sonoma I got a call from my doctor last week stating that the medicine that he wanted to give me two years ago has been finally FDA approved I will still need to go to UCSF my understanding twice a month however I will not need to have the medication brought home like I’ve been having for the last six months where I wear a bag of chemotherapy for two days and then go and get it removed on the third day that is over for now hopefully and I have strong faith in God strong faith in my fellow members That this will work for me and it will give me a longer life I have already received an extra year which I appreciate however now I could possibly get several more years and that is my goal my goal is to not have very much pain my goal is to live my life to the best of my ability taking every bit of care of myself I feel all of our prayers of been answered and I appreciate all the people that are still standing by my side I have had to be very careful with the coronavirus has made me very anxious however I have someone to shop for me and go places for me and I am blessed for that my husband has been here for me every step of the way and friends are helping me as well I have lost some weight and I’m not as strong as I was I hope to get back into the water and swim with masters soon and try to stay strong for that it’s very important to me God bless I love you all
