Journal entry by Delle McCormick

Susie has moved to a Transitional Care Unit in the Regions Hospital complex. She has a "new best friend" and roommate, Elizabeth.  Sus is adjusting to yet another new environment with her typical grace and wit. Today was challenging because she became dizzy and passed out after sitting in a chair for a half hour. She was rushed to the ER where she quickly recovered but had to have tests runs to make sure it was safe to send her back to her unit. While they were at it, they did sterile dressing changes and noted that her wounds are healing well. We ended the day with readings from J. Phillip Newell's Celtic Benediction evening prayers. Tomorrow starts her fifth week of hospital and rehab. She looks forward to rounding the corner on wound care and working toward the day when she can start rehab to bear weight on her legs and get home. Thank you for your prayers, cards, and comments here, and for ]caring so deeply in her time of need.
