Susan’s Story

Site created on August 28, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Last Tuesday, August 20th, Dad brought Mom to the St. Dominics ER in Jackson with gallbladder issues. Her doctor decided to have a scope of the area done before removing the gallbladder to make sure there were no other obstructions.  In doing so they found a mass below the gallbladder and decided the gallbladder was secondary to this.  We were hoping the mass was bile duct cancer but after pathology came back it was determined to be pancreatic cancer.
We are currently checking her options for immediate surgery to remove the cancer!

This beautiful woman is the rock of our family and we are confident in God's plan for her and the doors and hearts He will open.  Please pray with us for peace, courage and strength for our mom and dad, for wise, knowledgeable and capable doctors and nurses in this area of cancer, and for God's healing hands to wrap around her.
Thank you!

Mom went to the hospital yesterday for dehydration. Dad couldn’t stay with her due to the virus precautions. She passed away in the middle of the night.
We are very sad and in shock.
Please pray for Dad!
Everyday is a blessing. Love like there is no tomorrow
Daddy (we) can’t express enough how thankful he is for the out pouring of prayers and all the friends and family that have reached out during this time. Please continue to send them up for us.
