Background---Susan was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (MM)  on 13 March of this year,  and started Chemotherapy on 25 March. Sue responded very well and has now completed 4 rounds of Chemo each lasting 3-4 weeks.  Standard of care for 'healthy' people with MM, is  chemo to knock down the plasma cells and then to have an Autologous Stem Cell Transplant. We enter this phase in July....

SMR Update
Just a quick note- Sue received her first new monoclonal Antibody Treatment on 7 Aug at Dana Farber and all went well. She started her new oral meds (Pomalyst) that evening. She developed a full body rash by Thursday and needed to stop this drug (Pomalyst) and the rash diminished by Saturday evening. We started some antihistamines which helped. Once the rash declined we started again with the plan of dosing every other day which began Sunday night. Monday the rash was very limited and Sue's energy was great (she walked 12 miles)  So far so good and we were back to Dana Farber today (8-15) for her second injection of the monoclonal and that went well. We may even go out tonight for our 42 Anniversary.
