Dear Steve, I will always remember last year's Christmas Eve midnight service when Susan welcomed in Christmas on the piano ending at midnight. In 2019 Christmas was out at Millers Merry Manor, 2020 was the pandemic where seniors stayed isolated, 2021 was the beautiful music from Susan, and this year was a frozen water pipe. So 2021 was a year to remember upstairs in the private balcony with my son; and I will always remember Susan's talent playing by ear and never a mistake.
Grief is not a sign of weakness or faith, it is the price of LOVE. Love came down at Christmas with Emmanuel; God with us, in us and for us.
Steve, you write so beautifully about your love for God and Susan. Think of you and your family so often. We have comfort and peace knowing that Susan is with her Heavenly Father. Much love, Al and Sherry Andres
Of course you feel lonely at times in these days, the change is so profound and no less true because her death was anticipated. May God continue to comfort and assure you that Susan is rejoicing! You are so loved and held up prayerfully.
