Willie and Laney, what a wonderful service and tribute to a wonderful person. It warmed my heart to listen to people share their memories and made me remember Susan in all the various ways she touched people’s lives. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you, Willie and Laney, for a wonderful and touching tribute to a very kind soul that apparently developed a great many strong friendships and made a positive impact on many people since I last saw her in high school. The presentations and photographs were moving and memorable. Susan was a beautiful person.
What a wonderful tribute to Susan it was Willie and Laney. Heartwarming to listen to the stories about Susan, and the wonderfully chosen music and pictures in between. John Prine's 'When I Get To Heaven' at the end made me smile. Hugs to you both. <3
What a beautiful tribute to Susan. I enjoyed hearing all about her life past high school. I know you, Laney, Graham, Marsha, and the grands will miss her terribly. It is still so hard to believe, but I’m sure she is smiling down and keeping tabs on all of you. Hugs!
Willie and Laney, I love the celebration of life that you have put together for Susan. All of the pictures and music that show the stages of her life and friends she made along the way are wonderful. And her (and your) friends' tributes describe her so well. Willie, I especially enjoyed the pictures of you two as a young couple and Susan as a child. Laney, when you said that Susan had many friends and that she wanted those friends to meet and be friends- so true! Thank you for sharing. And whenever I hear 'When I Get to Heaven' I will think of her.

Laney, it was beautiful!!!, and I for one am appreciative to have been able to "attend". Praying for you and your sweet family during this time. (I'm your mom's 2nd cousin ... your "2nd cousin once removed") ... but just consider us "cousins" ... and ones who are prayerfully trusting the Lord to be your healing balm of comfort. <3
Willie and Laney, the service for Susan was a wonderful tribute to her life. As others have said, she was so encouraging with everyone and always had a positive and selfless attitude in life. The photo tribute and music were well done -loved seeing many pictures from her younger years! I will remember her in so many ways - but especially from serving together in the North Ridge PTA where we first met.
