Journal entry by Kelly Daudert —
Yesterday my mom started radiation. She will be doing a combination of radiation and a chemotherapy pill. Her amazing doctors were beyond happy about how well she responded to her first block of chemotherapy. Her tumors are shrinking y'all! This is great news!
We are so grateful for everyone who has been there for my mother and our family. Thank you to anyone who has gone to treatment with my mother, cooked our family a meal, made us smile or laugh, said a little prayer, shed a little tear, spread positivity, shared some wisdom, or simply was just a good friend. Everyone has helped us through this emotional journey and each contribution matters.
But the biggest thank you goes to my mom who is totally kicking ass. While winning her battle with cancer she still provides support to everyone of our family members, including our two dogs, and sometimes our cat. Honestly, I don't know what we would do without her.
Peace!
