October 16, 2019 was the scariest but one of the best days of our lives. Our little miracle was born. Never did I dream I would have my sweet Owen 10 weeks early. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and prayed for us. We have literally been on a rollercoaster since last Friday. I was diagnosed with Pre Eclampsia with severe features last week. We went to the high risk doctor on Friday and he immediately put me in the hospital. My blood pressure was stroke level high while being on blood pressure medicine. We immediately started praying and asking others to pray. At that point I was only 29 weeks pregnant. He had told us that if we couldn’t get my BP under control, we would have to deliver immediately. Praise the lord our prayers were answered. Once they got it down, they immediatley started me on steroid shots for Owens lungs. We needed 2 shots and 48 hours for these shots to start maturing Owens lungs. We finally made it 48 hours. At this point my BP was somewhat stable, but I was still sick. At this point our Doctor was even uneasy. We were trying to keep Owen in so he could get a little stronger, yet I was getting sicker. We knew at this point we were not going anywhere until Owen was born. We had no idea when that would be. Then on Wednesday October 16th, our world changed forever. When I woke up that morning my BP was 185/113. They immediately came in and said I would be having an emergency c-section and started prepping me. Never in my life had I been so scared. At 9:13 AM our sweet Owen was born. He weighed 3lbs 10oz and was 15 1/2 inches long. To hear his sweet little cry was the best sound we have ever heard. 💙 Our little guy is a strong warrior and is doing so well to be so early. Please keep him in your prayers. He will be in the NICU for a good while. We are praying he gets stronger and stronger so he can come home as soon as he can. We love our little guy so much! We praise God for answering our prayers.
