Sue,
I am scheduled to have open heart surgery tomorrow morning, so my wife started a CaringBridge site for me last night and when I went to open it this morning, I saw yours. I'm from Minnesota and whenever you see the Battis name you know they are a relative, so I immediately wanted to reach out to you and wish you the best. As I started reading your page, I saw the pancreatic cancer comment. I also had pancreatic cancer in 2000 and am happy to say that I was blessed to one of the 5%ers that survived. I am curious as to whether or not we are related , my dad's family had 8 kids in it and most stayed in the Twin Cities area, but a few migrated out west and I have seen some Battis' on the east coast. anyway, I wish you nothing but the best!

Thank you for the update. Sue will be greatly missed for her kindness, always willing to listen and communicating so passionately. Strength and love to Gwen, the family and Sue's many friends.

Thank you for letting us know. I'll be praying for God's grace and peace to comfort Gwen and all of us as we grieve the loss of our dear mother/sister in the Lord/friend who completed her work here on earth and now is at rest. Love to all, Patty
