Just found out of Buck's passing. So sorry, but he is likely in glory now. He did not know this but, since I was one of the "younger generation" of cousins, my cousin Bucky was always a big hero to me. I remember going to his wedding and I remember what a good and nice guy he always was, even to his little younger cousin.
Once I entered the army and moved away for many years, I did not see Bucky much. But we had a great time at a diner in Binghamton, New York one evening when he came down to our neck of the woods in the Southern Tier of new York, driving (probably) the University of Maine's women's basketball team bus to a game at Binghamton University, and Terry and I met him at a diner and had a chance to talk for an hour or 2 while the women played. It was a treat.

Years later, as it turns out, my son Bill married a girl from Massachusetts, whose parents have a place at Kennebunk Beach, maybe a quarter of a mile from the place uncle Dan used to have on the beach! One time when we were coming up to visit we met Buck in Kennebunkport and had a pleasant lunch or dinner with him. There was another time when we actually went to his house, I think it was outside of Portland, and had lovely dinner and evening with he and his wife Kathy.

I'm sorry I learned too late to send him words of encouragement, but I guess I just wanted the world to know someone else knew Buck to be a great guy. May he rest in the peace of Christ.

Kathi, So sorry for your loss. Buck was an inspiration to many men, including my husband and his brother Ray (who has since passed away). Many souls won for the Kingdom of God. We are leaving for Florida on Friday, Feb. 1st but hope to make it to the calling hours. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
