Stewart’s Story

Site created on February 9, 2019

In 2008, Stewart was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm that at the time was inoperable.  Since then Stewart and his doctors have monitored the aneurysm and Stewart has been able to lead a normal life.

On January 30, 2019, Stewart's aneurysm began to bleed. He spent a few days in the ICU while doctors stabilized his bleed and Stewart and his family began to work on their next steps. Advances in medicine have made it possible for Stewart's brain aneurysm to be operated on. The surgery is very new, but Stewart and his family have full confidence in his medical team. Stabilization of the aneurysm made it possible for Stewart to return home to spend time with friends and family. It was during this time that Stewart made the decision to pursue surgery. Stewart has opted to have the surgery which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12th.  The surgery will last several hours and carries risk. Our family is standing firm in our faith and in the promise that God is able to continue to be at work in this situation. We will be using this page to post updates as we walk through surgery and recovery. Thank you for standing with us in faith and joining us in prayer.
