Journal entry by Laurie Teachout

Greeting ,
We have been in St. Louis since March 18th , enjoying family and getting Steve ready for a stem cell transplant. All systems are go with no delays- we are very grateful for our son-in-law’s assistance. The transplant is tomorrow and then Steve is isolated for 10-14 days. His immune system needs time to heal. Family is not allowed to visit so phone calls and FaceTime are filling the gap. So far he is holding up well and still has a positive attitude- a gift in itself.
Thinking of everyone fondly and looking forward to returning to warmer weather. Spring is in the air here but with a definite chill. I am happily isolated with my older daughter, Danielle and her family- Kate 15 and John 12. On line schooling is in full swing and a cello lesson was offered on FaceTime. these are definitely changes in our world.  It will be interesting to see if They last  when everything is said and done. Stay safe and healthy, we will do the same.
hugs,
Laurie
