Ellen. keep the faith , he will find the words. I know that you know this will be a roller coaster for a while but Steve is a strong guy that has seen ups and downs. He ultimately comes out on top. Thank you for the updates. SS

Ellen, I’ve been following Steve’s progress and your caring for him, and am very glad to see him responding so well. I’ve been relaying Steve’s information to David, and we both are sending You all caring thoughts and hugs, & cheering you on through this tough time. We can totally relate. David has been receiving chemo for lymphoma that was discovered in April. He first went in on an emergency basis with fluid pressing on his brain, causing traumatic brain injury, from a tumor on his pineal gland. Much of what you saw with Steve’s difficulty in making sense, I saw with David. Thankfully, his PETscan this week showed that all of the tumors in his body are in remission. The tumor in his brain is smaller, but still there. Today, we are back at MDA for him to receive a specific type of chemo that targets the brain. The good news is, that as the swelling and tumor size in David’s brain has decreased, his ability to think & reason has increased. Though not perfect, we can have good conversations again. Hang in there! We hope and pray that the same holds true for Steve. We go back a long way and care a great deal for Steve. Give him a hug for us, and save one for you. Love to both of you.
