It was so good to see you today on the Bullock/ Amy call. I have thought of you and Steve so often. It was happy to read your family's posts on caring Bridge tonight and and am relieved that Steve is improving daily.
We are currently hunkered down in Chicago. Our daughter and son in law are here with us and our other kids and grandkids are all in their respective homes in Chicago and DC. We may go to Aspen this summer but we are going to give it a little time and see how things go over the next month or so.
I am just so sorry that you all are going through such a difficult time. But I know Steve is a strong and determined person who loves you and his family very much. He will pull through this with flying colors.
Sending much love! Vicki

You are not missing out on any wonderful meals and great wine as no one is dining graciously as you are used to enjoying. It will all be waiting for your return to normalcy.

Ellen,
I know that the family being together was comforting to all, and a source of renewed strength. Our prayers continue for Steve and those caring for him. Thank you for your wonderful post - sending love and hugs to each member of the family.

Ellen, thanks to you and Harry again for these updates. I'm so glad you all got to be with Steve, and that he is making progress. Therapy will surely be difficult, but Steve's will is so strong and his family so caring that we have great reasons for faith in his recovery.
Ellen and family, thank you for the updates. It's a hard road for all of you; but the mere fact of survival is the miracle that sustains and confirms hope for the future.
Robert and I miss both of you very much and are anxious to have you back. We are thrilled that Steve is making progress and is having the opportunity to get the therapy he needs. He'll be great at whatever they throw at him!
Warmest regards and much love,
Annie and Robert
