Like Andrew, I've been a faithful follower. It was nice seeing you last spring and my oh my I'm super happy hearing about Versai's part. I think my pre-adult theater experience could be summed up with seeing you in Hello Dolly and Cactus Rose. We all gotta come from somewhere. What matters is where we go. You've done well.

I thought I should let you know that your updates are still valued and read, so I decided to leave a comment. First, good work on updating. It was very comprehensive and gave me a few medical terms to get more familiar with; always a good thing. (You have to keep learning to keep the mind active, which is a sneaky nod to you, who is finding dazzling ways to keep your mind jitterbugging with new tricks. Congratulations.) Second, I am amazed that you have taken this on while overcoming this major medical adventure and working a hardcore, demanding job. It is all very impressive. Third, it is even more amazing that you are trying to learn large speaking parts at our age without years of training. It is all the more impressive as I worry that I am losing my memory. I have been on a bit of a SF reading binge and just read a book that I had already read, but couldn’t remember that I read it until I finished the book. That is a little worrying, but I have been reading a lot lately, so that is my denial. Fourth, it is never too late. There is that guy who started acting in his nineties (I know you were expecting names and dates, but I can’t remember that guy's name (see earlier comment)). The actor was on Johnny Carson and Johnny made a joke that he had a ten year plan. Funny. I should have done more research before I tried this out in front of people and some of the atta-boy message is diluted because it lacks specificity, but what the hell ya gonna do. Anyway, have a Happy New Year and stay frosty.

Thanks for the update, Steve! You looked great in the Facebook photos of your visit with your mom. I hope she was flooded with birthday cards. I'm in awe, but not surprised, of your desire to tackle new mental and physical physical challenges. It sounds exhausting, but even as a little boy you were extraordinarily internally motivated ("Just one more page in this encyclopedia"). The next time we visit daughter, Amy I'd love to see you. Wishing you continued health and happiness in 2024!

What a lovely write up - another talent you have - excellent storyteller. :-) I am very impressed with your biology terms. And reading this makes me remember my past with musicals (although I was always in the band) - craziest one for me was when my high school did Music Man, and we didn't have band, only choir. I played the French horn in middle school, and as Music Man requires a trombone (which we didn't have) I had to transpose the entire trombone part and play it on my French horn. :-). I have often thought about theatre in my later years - and as a singer (who has sung many small groups and a few solos at church) think I could do that part, but tap dancing? and actual acting? you are amazing! I'm glad that you are doing well, and being challenged at work (better than being bored). Peace to you and Happy New Year.
